Midnite Snax

Project summary

Midnite Snax fulfills custom product orders for a variety of customers. Several of the customers use Magento as their ecommerce platform. My Project Solution was contracted to automate the order entry from Shopify into Sage 100 ERP.

The Strategy

Midnite Snax, and their Sage 100 reseller, wanted a simple solution for a single direction integration with Sage 100. My Project Solution developed a basic order batching process to

• Export orders from Magento in batches
• Automate the batch process Mon. – Fri., two times each day
• Generate a custom .CSV file from the order data
• Import the .CSV file to Sage 100

The solution would include error trapping and monitoring, and email notification to the end client confirming the order export process was successful.

Proven Results

This solution, while basic compared to other ERP integrations we have written, has automated the creation of 1000’s of customers and orders in Sage 100 in the short time the integration has been in place. This has increased the accuracy of the orders, but also reduced the manual labor for Midnite Snax, but also their clients.
