Project summary

TestedHQ needed an online solution for managing their field testing products, and roster of Testers. The Tester Portal would allow for Tester registration, surveys, task management, affiliate management, and rewards programs.

The Strategy

A challenge with the Tester Portal was the initial timeline for the Phase 1 MVP to go live. This was a quick project, taking less than 90 days. My Project Solution designed a custom website application for the Tester Portal. Built on WordPress, the portal allows TestedHQ Admins to easily manage all content on the portal, including new customers, projects, tasks, surveys and rewards.

Leveraging WordPress helped to shortcut the initial MVP phase of the project, adding robust user management and easy content editing out of the box. We were also able to leverage enterprise plugins for WordPress to shortcut development in other critical areas of the project, but extensive custom development was required.

Development tasks included:

• Developing a custom task management system
• Developing a custom Rank/Rewards points and redemption system
• Custom integration with Alchemer surveys
• Custom integration with Klaviyo
• Custom notifications for new Projects & Tasks, and late/due soon tasks
• Custom email notifications

Additional custom development was performed on the following plugins:

• WP Affiliate Pro
• WP Job Board Pro
• Gravity Forms

Proven Results

Following the launch of the Tester Portal, TestedHQ successfully onboarded more than 300 new Testers, and ran 20+ projects. The Testers completed more than 1200 tasks, and submitted hundreds of surveys.
