The River Walk Recreation Association is a homeowners association, non-profit organization. The project had a lot of deliverables and challenges to overcome. The first challenge was to allow neighborhood residents to register online and to access private content when logged in. Residents needed to be able to maintain their information online and pay their annual HOA dues. The resident information needed to display in a user-friendly directory.
Residents also needed to submit architectural change requests, home security checks, and compliance/violations of HOA covenants. The promotion of neighborhood social activities and swim team calendars were requirements as well. Non-residents needed to register and pay for swimming pool memberships online.
A complex, multiple level membership system was put in place to allow Super User (Admin), Board Member, Resident, and Non-Resident levels of access. Each level has access to restricted content not available to public users. And each logged-in user has access to their account information using frontend forms. Only Admins have access to the CMS.
We created several custom forms to facilitate resident and non-member registrations. Custom forms were added for collecting compliance, architectural, and security requests. The Events Calendar was used to promote upcoming events. The calendar was integrated with Swimtopia.com to promote the neighborhood and swim team activities on a single calendar. CC and ACH check payments support were added.
A custom resident directory was developed to display residents’ contact information to logged in residents. The website is integrated with Mailchimp for event and news promotion. Monthly newsletter articles are posted on the website.
